The evidence behind your accreditation sign-off sits three layers below you.

For CEOs, COOs and executive directors of nursing in hospitals and health services. Ausmed puts training and competency for every site in one report, measured the same way. You can run the Audit Report the day short notice arrives.

Book a walkthrough

See workforce risk before an assessor or an incident shows it to you.

Workforce risk usually reaches an executive late, through an assessor's finding or an incident review. Set the requirement once by role and report it from one record, and the risk shows on a report you can run any day.

Every site runs its own version

Each hospital sets its own mandatory list, builds its own modules and keeps its own records. The variation stays hidden until an assessor finds it.

In Ausmed

Set the requirement once per role in Ausmed Learn™ and apply it at every site. A theatre nurse carries the same plan at every hospital in the group.

How role-based assignment works

Short notice leaves no week to prepare

Assessment to the NSQHS Standards now comes with a day or two of warning.

In Ausmed

Every completion and sign-off is already in one system. Filter the Audit Report to the site being assessed, and it gives each person's status per requirement, with timestamps and evidence links.

NSQHS re-accreditation

The group report takes a fortnight to build

Someone assembles the board pack by hand from separate exports, and it is out of date before anyone reads it.

In Ausmed

The Board Report in Ausmed Analytics™ shows compliance, overdue items by Standard or risk area and the quarter-on-quarter trend for every site, ready to export.

Compliance Reporting

Answer the board’s workforce questions yourself, from one login.

Accreditation

Run an Audit Report for any site, filtered by NSQHS Standard, on the day notice arrives.

Clinical risk

See who was trained and assessed on a procedure, by whom and when, person by person.

Paid training hours

Knowledge Verification pre-tests take experienced staff past content they can already show they know.

Consistency across sites

Apply one training plan per role at every hospital in the group.

Reporting upward

Export a Board Report to PDF that a governance committee can read in a page.

Information security

Ausmed is ISO 27001 certified, and staff sign in through your identity provider with single sign-on.

Answer short notice with a one-click report.

Since July 2023, accrediting agencies have assessed every public and private hospital and day procedure service against the NSQHS Standards at short notice. In the Commission's words:

ACSQHC · Short-notice assessment

Organisations will generally have 24 hours-notice of their assessment commencing. Some organisations will have 48 hours-notice.

Ausmed keeps the workforce evidence in one place as it happens, so you prepare by filtering a report.

Choose the site, run the Audit Report and export it to PDF. It shows each person's status per requirement, with timestamps and evidence links. Competency sign-offs sit in the same record with the assessor's name and the date.

Audit preparedness

Measure every site the same way, in one report.

The Board Report in Ausmed Analytics™ compares sites and teams on the same measures: compliance percentage, what is overdue by Standard or risk area, and how each has moved quarter on quarter. It exports to CSV or PDF for the board pack.

Site comparisons put each hospital side by side. Because you set the requirements behind the figures by role across the group, a compliance figure at one hospital means the same thing as the figure at the next.

Role-based training plans in Ausmed Learn

Set the requirement once, by role, for the whole group.

Ausmed Learn™ assigns training from each person's position. User sync takes job role, location and manager from your HR system, so it enrols starters, moves transfers onto the new site's plan and drops leavers without anyone keying them in.

When a hospital joins the group, you add it as a new location on the same plans, and its staff sign in through your identity provider from the first day.

Automation and Efficiency

Take the repeat hours out of paid mandatory training.

Annual mandatory training is paid time, and much of it covers ground an experienced clinician already holds. Knowledge Verification puts a pre-test at the start of an eligible module. A learner who shows they know the content moves past it and has met the requirement.

You choose which modules it applies to, so high-risk topics can stay compulsory in full.

Audit preparedness

Keep the workforce evidence an assessor asks for ready before anyone asks.

Frequently asked questions

Do we have to replace the LMS our sites already use?

No. We can deliver Ausmed Library™ content as SCORM packages into the LMS you already run, so a group can start with content and move to Ausmed Learn™ later, or not at all.

Can we start with one hospital before the whole group?

Yes. One hospital, or one program such as the graduate intake, is a common place to start. Other sites join the same structure when they are ready, without rebuilding the plans.

Can our hospitals keep the content they have built?

Yes. You assign your own documents, videos and SCORM packages through the same plans as Library content, and Course Builder turns existing material into courses. Ausmed content fills the gaps around what your educators own.

Does the Library cover all eight NSQHS Standards?

The Ausmed Library™ has 1,000+ hospital and acute care resources mapped to the NSQHS Standards, and you can report training by Standard.

Coverage is deeper in some Standards than others. We walk through your mandatory list against the Library before you commit to anything.
