Introducing Recharge Week: A Growing Ausmed Tradition

At Ausmed, the well-being of our team is at the heart of everything we do. In 2024, we launched our first-ever Recharge Week — a dedicated week off in July to support rest, recovery and reflection. It was a simple but powerful initiative, and the response from our team was overwhelmingly positive.

Ausmed Recharge Week 2024

This year, it’s back. Recharge Week 2025 will take place from July 14th to July 18th. Once again, all Ausmed employees will be encouraged to pause and reset together.

Rest assured that we are taking all necessary steps to ensure customers are not disadvantaged during this downtime. However, we are proud of the work we do at Ausmed, and we are excited about this initiative!

From a Trial to a Tradition

In 2024, we took a leap. Our goal was clear: to address the creeping effects of burnout, foster a healthier rhythm of work, and ensure every team member had the chance to rest without worrying about blocking projects or missing out.

Synchronising leave created a meaningful break for the whole team, one that felt different from taking time off solo.

“I was able to switch off completely, even squeeze in a short trip to Bali! Having the whole team on leave at once made a huge difference. I didn’t return to a flood of catch-up emails, and the shared downtime gave us a renewed energy when we came back.”

Nikolaus Bading, Multimedia Designer

Benefits of Synchronising Leave

At Ausmed, we care deeply about our work and our people. But intense focus over time can take its toll. In 2023, when ~20% of the team took leave at staggered intervals throughout winter, we noticed a significant productivity slowdown.

Recharge Week prevents that. By aligning leave, we reduce burnout and keep our momentum strong across the year.

Keeping the Lights On

We know that pausing is not always possible in healthcare, and the same is true for the essential services Ausmed provides. Our Customer Support team will continue to provide urgent response coverage throughout the week, using the same robust systems and resilience planning we use during other holiday periods, like Easter and Christmas.

No corners will be cut on customer care, just smarter planning and thoughtful scheduling.

Continuity of Service

Our executive and leadership teams have once again conducted detailed planning for 2025. We’ve ensured every department has clear contingency measures in place to minimise disruption and uphold the high service standards our customers expect.

Ausmed already maintains uptime above 99.95%, and we’re committed to that same reliability, Recharge Week or not.

We Appreciate Your Support

Thank you for your support. This initiative invests in the people at Ausmed, who work tirelessly to support you, our customers. We appreciate your patience and support during Recharge Week so that our team can rest, recharge, and return to work ready to serve you better. We won’t let you down!
