Learn how to identify and address the issues related to wandering for people living with dementia in the community, and for their carers.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course, staff should be able to:

• Describe the characteristics and impact of dementia-related wandering.
• Identify people with dementia living at home in the community who are at risk of harm associated with wandering behaviour.
• Develop strategies that prevent harm to people in your care who may wander as a result of their dementia.
