Work-based learning is at the heart of continuing professional development (CPD). Yet to be truly successful a learning culture needs to include all members of staff, and enable them to become educational leaders. The question is, how can this be achieved in practice? In answering this Purcell and Lloyd-Jones (2003) suggest that we first need to ask, ‘what is good clinical teaching’? As they say, without clear guidelines and standards it becomes difficult to create a culture of continuous learning that includes and enables all staff.

Sometimes I find it really hard to make time for my learning, but I was blown away by how easy it is with the Ausmed app. I can fit it in during breaks or on the bus to work.
