Dr Nigel Barr is the discipline lead for paramedicine at the University of the Sunshine Coast and has extensive experience in healthcare, emergency medical services and education sectors. He was formerly an intensive care paramedic and worked at senior levels within several jurisdictional ambulance services, with roles encompassing the provision of intensive care paramedicine, clinical governance, professional leadership, teaching and research. Nigel has completed a PhD exploring infection prevention and control in paramedic-led healthcare, and is a member of the Australasian College of Paramedicine Research Advisory Committee.
