Social Isolation in Barrier Nursing

CPDTime.
5m of CPD
For the second time in a week, I have been assigned to nurse the side rooms of a ward. As agency staff, it is not my place to question who I will be nursing for the day so I smile, accept, and gaze down at my dry, sore hands. Two out of six of my patients are an infection control risk.

<p>For the second time in a week, I have been assigned to nurse the side rooms of a ward. As agency staff, it is not my place to question who I will be nursing for the day so I smile, accept, and gaze down at my dry, sore hands. Two out of six of my patients are an infection control risk. Hospitals will need to constantly review their policies and procedures during the Covid19 pandemic to ensure continuity of care and safety of staff and patients.

Sometimes I find it really hard to make time for my learning, but I was blown away by how easy it is with the Ausmed app. I can fit it in during breaks or on the bus to work.
