Lecture Overview

Older adults often get stereotyped as asexual or sexually undesirable, or harshly stigmatised for engaging in any sexual activities, whatsoever. To help break this stigma, psychology lecturer Dr Beatrice Alba presents the findings of a research study that indicates sex is an important part of life for many older adults.

Dr Beatrice Alba (PhD) is a lecturer in the School of Psychology at Deakin University. Her current research focuses on experiences of sexism in intimate relationships and in the workplace. Beatrice has been published many times in international peer-reviewed journals and has written for The Conversation, SBS Voices and The Guardian.
