Lecture Overview

A range of barriers may exist to effective pain relief in a person living with chronic pain. It's therefore essential for all healthcare practitioners to be able to recognise and respond to these barriers in order to avoid inadequate pain management. This lecture by rehabilitation nurse educator Sally Moyle reviews key the basics of pain science, explains common pain attitudes and looks at contemporary management options including ketamine infusions.
