What is this article about?

Studies suggest that about 50% of people living with chronic illness stop taking their prescribed medicines within 12 months, and that up to 30% of prescriptions are never filled at all. Not only does medicine non-adherence have clinical consequences such as disease progression, morbidity and mortality - it also results in increased costs and use of healthcare resources.

I think that this is a great resource tool for carers. Not complicated, short and sweet, and highlights proper procedure to do medication prompting rather than physical medication assistance.
