Introduction to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)

CPDTime.
11m of CPD
Every person has the right to return home from work without injury, and should not have to fear for their own mental and physical wellbeing simply because of their line of work. The expectation and association of danger in healthcare settings only delays the implementation of procedures that could eliminate risk.

Good overview of Occupational Health and Safety issues in an aged care setting. Will enable staff to identify risks of injury due to manual handling and facility environment , and report these risks so that an alternative method can be implemented. All staff are responsible for the wellbeing of themselves, other staff, their residents, and any person entering a facility.
