Dr Melinda Jackson is a Senior Lecturer in the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health, School of Psychological Sciences at Monash University. She is a registered Psychologist and a Research Fellow at the Institute for Breathing and Sleep, Austin Health. The main focus of her research is to explore the impact of sleep loss and sleep disorders on components of cognition, mood and brain health. She also has a research interest in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and the role of the gut-brain axis on sleep and mood. Through this research, she aims to demonstrate the positive impact of treating sleep disorders and improving overall sleep health on cognition and wellbeing.
